Text messages are messages containing only a text body and an optional link preview.

Link preview

WhatsApp can automatically generate a preview for the first URL included in a message. The URL must start with http:// or https://.

If multiple URLs are added, only the first URL preview will be displayed. If a preview is unavailable, WhatsApp will show the URL as a clickable link.
